Outdoor Music Project
Outdoor Music Project is an experimental public initiative based on the idea that any place where we listen can become a concert venue. We reflect on the sound a work should have, find a place where it can come alive, and perform or realize it there.
Each place holds its own sound: lawns, hills, apartment complexes, parks, under bridges, schoolyards, libraries, city centers, riverside benches, phone booths, parking lots, street pianos, bus stops, markets, abandoned basketball courts, forests, cafés, subway stations, secondhand bookstores, and more.
These places interact with the work in unpredictable ways, and the results open up new sensory possibilities.
